Month at a Glance | April

April has been a crazy month, because I managed to read SO MANY books that I can hardly believe it! It's totally a huge number for me, not for some of you dear bookworms, but I feel myself so accomplished.

Another thing I managed to do this month is listening to an audio book for the first time since I was a child! I listened to Harry Potter and the Chamber of the Secrets read by Stephen Fry during my commute to university and, oh man, he's so hilarious! He performs all the different voices and my favorite is definitely Hermione, haha. I didn't listened the entire book though, because I still preferred reading it when I was at home, since I get terribly distracted just listening to people reading, that's why I never gave audio books a try before. However, I must confess that listening to it during my commute made me feel like I didn't waste my time!

I didn't manage to write as many posts as I did last month, because I had a couple of exams and then classes started again, however, I shared my favorite bookish people you should follow on Instagram. I introduced a new series called "Lately On My Bookshelf" to talk about the books I've read lately without writing a long review. I've been tagged for the Liebster Award and I shared 22 things about me, you should definitely read them if you want to know me a little more. I finally read Fangirl (!) and I shared my thoughts about it and I also wrote about top ten bookworm delights.

The Huntsman: Winter's War: nothing special, lots of poor dialogues and cliché, but I enjoyed the sets and the costumes, plus an almost always happy and smiling Christ Hemsworth. ;)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of the Secrets: what can I say? I was home alone and I wanted to watch a great movie while eating my dinner on the sofa!

  • Lost
  • Arrow
  • The Flash
  • Once Upon A Time
  • Supergirl: just started it and I am really enjoyed the first two episodes
  • Outlander: I watched the first episode of season 2 and, seeing the absence of disturbing sex scenes, I decided to give it another chance. The second half of the first season was just too much for me!

Phew! What was your April? Any great readings or movies to recommend me? :)
